It all started in 2012 by coiling rope torn strips of rusted rayon for a textile class. The basket was mounted from rusted rebar and sealed with Paverpol. Today I design and create vessels by twining or knotting waxed linen and by coiling various materials including wire, paper yarn, and cord. Each basket is created with passion and fine craft standards. My intent is that you have chosen a basket that becomes a valued object in your home or office.
Over time I’m a unique combination of left brain/right brain with an MBA from Indiana University - Bloomington and a BFA in Fiber Arts and Art History from Xavier University - Cincinnati. Part of my inspiration comes from nature starting with a rural Illinois upbringing and now by living in beautiful North Carolina where the seasons remind me each day that living the creative life is renewal in itself.
